2014 marks the 10th anniversary of Artstor as a live service. Throughout the year we will introduce you to the people behind our organization and the roles they play in supporting Artstor’s mission to use digital technology to enhance scholarship, teaching, and learning.
You know us as the friendly voice on the phone when you were uncertain if you could project images as a backdrop for a play. Perhaps you know us through quick email exchanges to help you learn how to update your software. Or maybe we met at an educational conference where we shared ideas on how to use Digital Library content in your classroom or research.
Simply put, Artstor User Services is the user support and education wing for the Digital Library.
We happily fulfill three key roles to bring you the best possible user experience:
- Chief problem-solver
Delivering a Web-based image library of more than 1.6 million images includes providing services such as answering questions about collection content, image rights, software compatibility, and other technical support. We’re on hand by phone or email, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm ET to offer information to enrich your user experience.
- Educator extraordinaire
Artstor is passionate about its mission to enhance scholarship, teaching, and learning. User Services staff bring expertise from library, academic, and technology fields to support your work, and we share our knowledge through online trainings or in-person meetings at your campus or educational conferences.
Using the Digital Library every day and hearing from you makes User Services the most up-to-date resource on what’s new, what’s working—or what’s not—at Artstor. We work with our developers on your behalf to communicate how we can improve your user experience.
