Find more information to describe your image record by using the Google Image Search feature in Shared Shelf! Even better, you can use this feature to find alternative views or higher quality images for uploading and publishing to your collection. Here’s how:
- Open a single record with an image file uploaded.
- In the Edit tab, select the Option menu above the media window, and click “Search Image in Google.”
- A new browser tab will open to a Google results page displaying the results of the search.
You may notice that when the search is run in Google it displays “JPG” in the search box preceding your image file name. This is because Google Image Search has a 20MB restriction. To work around this, Shared Shelf will always submit a derivative jpeg of your original file for the search.
